Since 1996
Kara Anderson’s Dance Studio opened its doors in North Brookfield, MA in September, 1996. At that time, Kara Anderson (owner) was the only teacher at KADS. As the years went by, the faculty grew slowly as the studio grew quickly! KADS now has a Faculty of 11 teachers between our staff/guest choreographers! In 2011, KADS opened the second location in Southbridge, MA. This location was formally Debbie Sichol’s Dance center, the same studio that Kara had trained at as a child and the same town she grew up in. Kara Anderson’s Dance Studio is truly a dance FAMILY, and we believe every child is important, and we understand that not all children dance to become a professional dancer. Many of our students have grown to love dance and have kept dance in their lives after high school graduation by becoming a dance teacher, owning a studio, joining dance teams in college and starting their own dance company.
In dance class at KADS, the faculty strives to provide your child with so much more than dance. We teach coordination, poise, grace along with physical fitness. We help develop self-expression and creative thinking. It is our goal to boost self-esteem and confidence. Most children learn a lifelong appreciation of music, dance and the arts. It is extremely important that children are engaged in a physical activity that is healthy and also fun!

We are fairly new to the KADS family, as my daughter is only 4. However she has been dancing for the past 2 years there (both studios) and has quickly gone from one class to now having 4 a week. She was a little shy at first, but has now grown to love all the teachers, even if it's her first class with them. She trust the studios and the atmosphere they create. As the youngest of 4 kids and being the only girl in her home, KADS has created a special place for my daughter to grow. I'm very thankful we have such a great dance studio in our community. My daughter has been dancing at Kara Anderson Dance Studio since 3 years old and is now 10 years old. The dance studio is Nia's second home, it's more than a place to dance. My daughter has been dancing at KADS for 9 years. We switched to Kads because they offered a better program at a better price. The staff are always professional, and they rocked it during COVID-19 with virtual lessons and getting the students back to the studio safely in time to have an outdoor recital.
